A pitched roof with clay roof tiles has many advantages: it has a very good environmental impact and it’s practically maintenance-free, easy to process, and raintight. The roof tile – an idea that goes back centuries – is the best way to protect the house from rain. If the roof pitch is below the standard roof pitch, the demands on the substructure increase. It even has to take on the function of protecting the roof from rain as the roof tile no longer protects it sufficiently. The roof tile experts for shallow roofs, the Ergoldsbacher Karat®, the E58 RS® and the new Level RS®, have a sophisticated technical shape which means that water on the tile is channelled away perfectly. Different design – same function

It all began with the design classic Ergoldsbacher Karat®. Fifty years of practical experience in processing and the tile’s perfect technical design provided the basis for the new developments in the models Ergoldsbacher E58 RS® and Level RS®. Despite their different shapes, they all have the same special feature: thanks to their interlocking joints on all sides, high interlocks and deep water channels, the roof tiles work even on very shallow pitched roofs. The three models are raintight and mean that you don’t need a complex roofing underlay.
